In Kumaon, the farmers are working on building their own tea factory, with the assistance of our good friend Raj, who believed in their dream. Watching this accomplishment unfold and being a part of it by carrying their teas at My Tea Places has been truly exciting. Meanwhile, in Nilgiri, the women in the tea industry are challenging the norms and producing exceptional teas. As a woman in the tea industry, I find them incredibly inspiring and I strongly believe in empowering other women in tea.
