Story
This is a compressed dark tea (Heicha) scented with rose petals. Historically, dark pressed tea has been produced for more than 1000 years and was a tribute to the imperial family. We have enjoyed this beautiful tea since 2018 and thought it was about time to added to our tea collection at My Tea Places. We featured these little hearts in the Blue Jay Tea Box and we know many of you have enjoyed it too.
Ingredients: Dark Tea, Rose Petals
Net Wt: 4 oz (114g) or 2 oz (57g)
Each tea heart weighs around 4g
Brewing Instructions Western Style:
1 tea heart | 10-12 oz water | 200°F-210°F| Rinse 5 sec.| Steep 3 min. (use a strainer if your tea pot does not have a fine mesh)
Gongfu Style Brewing:
1 tea heart | 6 oz water | 200°F-210°F | Rinse 5 sec. | Steep 30 sec., use a strainer to decant your tea, enjoy and do multiple infusions.
