Story
Japan is famous for green teas and its tea culture with various tea-producing places throughout the country. This particular sencha green tea comes from Kagoshima, a southern coastal region of Kyushu Island. Kagoshima’s volcanic soil contributes to the unique profile flavor of its teas. Its terroir, as well as the special craftsmanship of the tea masters and sustainable cultivation practices, make it ideal for the production of distinct teas in the archipelago. In fact, within the past few decades, the quality of Kagoshima’s tea production has strengthened making it one of the top producers of tea in the country.
Japanese sencha is usually grown in the sun. However, this Kagoshima sencha is unique because it is shaded for a week prior to harvesting. This enhances the umami flavor and deepens the green color of the tea leaves. From the first taste to the final sip, this tea is a joy to drink and share.

Brewing Instructions
Hot: 2g-2.5g or 1 tsp of tea | 8 oz water at 170°F - 180°F | 1.5 min - 2 min
Cold: 4g-5g or 2 tsp of tea | 8 oz of coldwater | 10 minutes
Cold Brew: 5g of tea | 12-24 oz of room temperature water | place in the fridge covered for 12 hours
